Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Explore Franschhoek’s French heritage at the Hugenot museum or discover the region either on foot or horse back. Paarl and Stellenbosch are approximately 30 minutes drive from Franschhoek, allowing you to visit larger shopping malls and other attractions. Discover Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve or the bird sanctuary along the banks of the river Berg. Various ostrich and crocodile farms in the area are also worth a visit. By car:
- Coming from Cape Town, follow the N1 in the direction of Paarl.
- Take the R44 Stellenbosch/ R101 Klapmuts/ Wellington turn-off and
turn right at the stop sign.
- Pass underneath the bridge and cross the 4-way stop.
- Continue on this road for about 500 metres, until you see the R45
turn-off (direction of Franschhoek).
- Take this road and travel for about 9 km, until you reach the T-junction
(you will see Vrede en Lust on your right and cross over an old rail
track right before you reach the T-junction).
- Turn right in the direction of Franschhoek (R45) at the T-junction.
- Continue along this road, passing Kaap Agri to your left and
Simondium Country Lodge to your left.
- Cross the bridge over Dwars River and pass the Groot Drakenstein
Games Club on your left.
- Continue past Graham Beck and Bridge House on your right and then
cross the bridge.
- From there, it is approximately 2,9 km to the Val’ d Or entrance (on
your left-hand side).
- You should have passed Le Manoir de Brendel on your right.
- Turn left onto the sand road and continue for about 700 metres.
- At the road fork, continue right and, at the second fork, right again.
- This road will take you to the reception and check-in area.
