Situated in one of the most charming and rural places on the west side of Madeira Island, this traditional Madeira house, from the beginning of the 20th-century, features: a games room; a reading room with a fireplace; an outdoor heated swimming pool; a barbeque; and a courtesy self-service bar that allows you to sample various drinks, including regional wines and homemade liquors.
On your arrival we will serve you a complimentary glass of Madeira wine whilst you check-in.

Enjoying a privileged location, where you can experience direct contact with nature, the hotel is immersed in complete tranquillity, only broken by the murmur of the water as it flows towards the fields.
The hotel is located in the south of Madeira, close to the Paul da Serra, the cascades of Rabaçal, and the age-old trees of Fanall; one of the few surviving examples of the original flora of Madeira. In the surroundings of Fonte do Bispo you can explore some nice trails for off-the-road bicycles, while there are several trails for hiking, especially the Levada Nova trail, which passes right in front of Colina da Fajã.
Lovers of the beach and the sea only need to go for 15 minutes to find the golden sand of Calheta, unique for this region. If you prefer the calmer waters of a pool, the hotel recommends the natural (salt water) pools of Porto Moniz, 35 minutes away from the hotel.

Looking for a more daring experience? Then try Jardim do Mar, at only 10 minutes from Colina da Fajã, very well suited for surfing. Other alternatives are angling or scuba diving in Paul do Mar.
In Calheta, you can find the cultural centre Casa das Mudas, which is well worth a visit, not only because of its architecture, but for the temporary exhibitions as well.

By Car from Madeira Airport:
- Take the motorway towards Ribeira Brava.
- When you arrive in Ribeira Brava, continue on the motorway towards Calheta.
- At the Calheta roundabout, head towards Fajã da Ovelha.
- Follow the motorway until the end, where you will see signs to Fajã da Ovelha and Porto Moniz.
- Turn left towards Fajã da Ovelha.
- From this point, it will take you about 5 minutes to get to the hotel.
- When you arrive at the crossroads with signs to Fajã da Ovelha town centre, turn left and continue straight on towards Porto Moniz.
- After 1 km, where the road takes a right turn and there are signs to Casais da Serra, you will see the last sign for Colina da Fajã (to your left).
- Please drive carefully when descending the hill!
- The hotel is at the bottom of the hill.
