Environment and Activities :
Herdade das Sesmarias dos Nobres is a 70 ha property situated in a nature reserve that is populated by rabbits, hares, wild boars, fox, storks, partridges, eagles, pigeons and falcons.
We offer a range of diverse activities for your enjoyment, including:
Swimming, mountain biking, hiking, yoga classes and hunting.
Enjoy the countryside on foot or by bike!
For lovers of hunting and wildlife, a controlled 5000 ha hunting reserve is a mere 5 km away, where all of the above species may be found.
There are several beautiful beaches within a 25 minute drive from the property. These include:
Saint-Andre, Melides, Comporta and Carvalhal, with the incredible 80 km beach at the entrance of Troia and Port of Sines peninsula.
Guided minibus tours of the area may also be arranged. Recommended locations include :
Evora ; Beja ; Troia ; Alcàcer do Sal ; Alqueva (the largest artificial lake in Europe); and the Sado estuary where dolphins are frequently sighted.

This agro-tourism bed and breakfast with 70 hectares is located within the unspoilt countryside of the Alentejo.
Come and experience our traditional and welcoming 17th century Montes house, formerly belonging to the clergy. Here you may sleep in typical Portuguese bedrooms each provided with their own bathroom and air conditioning. In addition, the main house has an open fire-place and a fully equipped kitchen.
Delicious regional homemade meals using farm products are available upon request and we have a variety of activities for you to enjoy during your stay, including: mountain biking, swimming and wine tasting.
Please note: There will be a minimum stay of 2 days during the Easter period and the months of July and August.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 4 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 4 years is charged EUR 5.50 per night in a baby cot.
One child from 4 to 16 years is charged EUR 17.50 per night in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.
Internet: Wired internet is available in the business centre and costs EUR 5.00 per hour.
Meal Plan: Continental breakfast is included in the room rate.
Parking: Free public parking is possible on site.

We offer home made French and typical Portuguese cuisine, using only biological products from our farm and local producers.
Alentejo and national wine tasting maybe arranged, and is accompanied with local cheeses and meats (black pig & wild boar). You may choose to do so either in-house or at one of our local vineyards.
Entertainment maybe arranged while you dine, by the sweet voices from our local choir.
Please note that both half or complete pension is available depending on your requirements.

Around Grandola, the city that gives a name to the revolutionary song of 1974, you may visit superb churches, like in Santiago do Cacém and Ermidas do Sado. In Lousal, you may visit the Mines of Lousal museum, it’s Arts and Archaeology Centre or visit one of the local craftsman where you may see and purchase their unique creations in pottery, iron, tapestry and embroidery.
This region is culturally very rich and has a natural heritage that dates back to the Neolithic and megalithic periods. Go and discover the heritage by visiting the Ruins of Mirobriga, theTapada Dam, the Pata do Cavalo, the Lousal Monument, the ancient cemetery Das Casas Velhas and much, much more.
You may also like to visit Badoca Park, a 100ha zoological park located 10 km from the house. Here we suggest you take a safari where you will encounter plenty of wild animals including lions, giraffes, and buffalo. Take in the experience of the African savannah in European surroundings.
Within a 30 Km radius you can play golf or paintball, go canoeing, kayaking or choose to take a ride in a hot air balloon and experience the full beauty of the region from the clouds
