There is so much to see and discover in the surrounding area, which is a treasure trove for nature lovers and guests looking for peace and quiet. The many cycling and walking trails lead you through the countryside and even take you to many quaint villages and the nearby German border.
The village of De Lutte is very close to the cities of Oldenzaal, Hengelo and Enschede. There are a number of cycling and walking trails in the area around Hotel-Restaurant De Grote Zwaan that lead across the ‘Twentse Mountains’, such as Tanken Mountain and Haken Mountain.

The breakfast, lunch and diner take place in our pleasant restaurant, where as well as the culinary and the service is perfect.
Off course it is possible for everybody to enjoy a perfectly served meal here. Enjoy the dishes mentioned at our great a la carte card, composed by our chief-cook, or choose a complete menu.
There are also special menus for vegetarians and children.

There is so much to see and discover in the beautiful surroundings of Hotel-Restaurant De Grote Zwaan. which is a treasure trove for nature lovers and guests looking for peace and quiet. The many cycling and walking trails lead you through the countryside. Many of these trails cross the ‘Twentse Mountains’, such as Tanken Mountain,
Haken Mountain and Paas Mountain, all formed in the Ice Age.
In De Lutte itself you can enjoy the Botanic Gardens with more than 2,000 indigenous and exotic trees and shrubs. In the nature reserve Het Lutterszand, you can admire the sand-drifts along the banks of the river De Dinkel. During one of your cycling or walking trips, stop to visit one of the old crafts that are still being practised in the area, such as candle making, clog making, glass blowing and brick making.
In the fairly large city of Oldenzaal, 3 kilometres from the hotel, you will find a lively centre with two covered shopping galleries and the market square with its many cosy cafes. The larger cities of Hengelo and Enschede are also not far from De Lutte.
Germany is just a stone’s throw away from the hotel. By bicycle or car, you can reach the lovely area just across the border.
