Less than 300 metres from the beach, in the dunes and on the edge of the village de Koog, is the four-star Grand Hotel Opduin. All rooms are furnished with taste and all it takes to make them comfortable and let you feel at home. Start your day with the famous Texel breakfast buffet: many types of farmhouse bread, Texel cheeses, cold cuts, biological cottage cheese produced on the island and numerous other dairy products, home-made jams and anything else you might long for.

If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.

The kitchen crew prepare a lunch and a four course dinner everyday with fresh products only. You can select your own meal from our menu card which is changed every season: typical Texel specialities(lamb or fish) as well as vegetarian or low-calorie creations.
We have 3 restaurants. Our familiar Grand Restaurant Opduin, our Brasserie "De Franse Slag" and the exclusive a la carte restaurant "De Heeren XVII"

The hotel is located in the Duinen van Texel (Texel dunes) national park on the island of Texel. The beach is just a 5 minute walk (200 meters) from the hotel. The village centre is also just 200 meters away.

Grand Hotel Opduin is easy accesible with ashort travelling time. By car from the west or south of Holland via de ringweg Amsterdam (A10), Zaandam (A8), Purmerend, Hoorn en Den Oever (A7) to Den Helder (N99).
From the east of Holland take the route Afsluitdijk (A7), via Den Oever to Den Helder.
Den Helder is also easy accessible by train.
From Den Helder take the TESO ferry to Texel (every hour) which will take 20 minutes. You do not need to make a reservation.
On the island you drive to De Koog. Follow the signs to Grand Hotel Opduin.
