Restaurant - Guests have the choice of one restaurant Le Souterrain part of the hotel and two restaurants near the hotel: a Chinese restaurant and a wok restaurant.
Meetings - The hotel offers eight state-of the-arte conference rooms with day light, air conditioning. The capacity of the conference rooms varies from 15 to 200 people. Their is also a fully equipped business Centre. Golden Tulip Alkmaar offers tailormade meetings, everything is possible!

Golden Tulip Alkmaar is a modern hotel and is perfectly situated in Alkmaar. The hotel is easy to reach by car (end of motorway A9). We offer enough free parking space. The historical centre of Cheese city Alkmaar can be reached on walking distance. But it is also very easy to reach the centre by public transport. The hotel offers 76 luxurious rooms equipped with all the comfort, three reataurants and a pleasant bar with a chimney. You can also relax in the hotel. Besides the sauna/ fitness/ solarium we also recently have a beauty & wellness centre.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Location - Golden Tulip Alkmaar is perfectly situated in Alkmaar. The hotel is easy to reach by car (end of motorway A9). Directly next to the hotel a bus station is situated. Within a distance of only 30 kilometres you will find Amsterdam and airport Schiphol.
At a distance of 10 kilometres from the town we find dunes, beaches and the sea. The dunes ar part of the vast scenic area. There are lots of opportunities for walks and cycling tours, such as along the 126 km long Oring dike, the oldest dike in the Netherlands.
Canals, drawbridges, churches, merchant houses and ramparts, Alkmaar has it all. A historical town with lots of activity in which the Friday cheese market features largely. Alkmaar and the cheese market, they belong together. Since 1365 cheese have been weighed in Alkmaar. The first public market was held in 1622. Ever since this year there has been a cheese market each Friday 10 a.m. till 12 o clock from early April till mid September. Alkmaar offers also innumerable pubs serving meals, simple and chic restaurants, offering national and international cooking, pubs, cinemas and theatres provide plenty of entertainment for young and old.

By car from Schiphol-The Hague:
From Schiphol-The Hague follow the main road (A4). Through the Schipholtunnel.Keep on following the A4. Take the exit to the A9. Keep on following the A9 in the direction of Alkmaar. Through the Wijkertunnel. At the end of the A9 you have to follow "Alkmaar Centrum" , than you will come to a roundabout.You cross the roundabout straight through. The first street on your right is the Arcadialaan.On your right side you see the Golden Tulip Hotel Alkmaar.
By car from Amsterdam
From the ring Amsterdam A10, take the exit A9 to Alkmaar. Keep on following the A9. Through the Wijkertunnel. At the end of the A9 you have to follow "Alkmaar Centrum", than you will come to a roundabout. You cross the roundabout straight through. The first street on your right is the Arcadialaan. On your right side you see Golden Tulip Alkmaar.
By car from Utrecht
From Utrecht follow the A2 in the direction of Amsterdam. Take the exit to the A9. At the end of the A9 you have to follow "Alkmaar centrum", then you will come to a roundabout. You cross the roundabout straight through. The first street on your right is the Arcadialaan. On your right side you see Golden Tulip Alkmaar.
By car from Den Helder
From Den Helder follow the N9. Keep following this road until the ring road until the roundabout. Take this roundabout for three quarters, after the roundabout take the first to the right and than again the first to the right.
