Visit Mexico's oldest and most historic missions of the Baja Peninsula. Explore these formidable constructions that have been preserved in perfect condition, such as the Mission of San Ignacio, one of the best preserved and most beautiful of Baja California Sur, built by Father Juan Bautista Luyando in early 1700's. Get to know this historic area where missionaries introduced the first rose bushes that flourish in these lands.
San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas are joined by a breathtaking Oceanfront corridor of hidden coves and sandy shores surrounded by seven championship golf courses, and frolicking whales from January to March. Popular Santa Maria Bay and Chileno Beach are two of the Tourist Corridor's crown jewels, with fantastic snorkeling, water sports and scuba diving.

Whether in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo, visitors are treated to whale watching from January through April. Of the world's approximately 21,000 gray whales, an estimated 11,000 make this journey of over 10,000 miles to bear their calves and frolic in Pacific Coast lagoons to the north of Los Cabos. Many continue south, veering around land's end and into the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez.

With a semi-tropical desert climate, Los Cabos has ideal weather and clear, sunny skies. Average air temperatures are 50 to 80F. (19-26.7C.) from November to April and 70 to 95F. (21-35C.) from May to October. Average annual rainfall is 5 to 10 inches (12.7 to 24 cm), most falling in September. The coolest months are December and January. Water temperature, even in the winter, is rarely below 70F. (21C.) with an average temperature of 75F (23.8C.).
