Culiacán is a Nahuatl word composed by Col-hua-can or Cul-hua-can, which means "place of the Coltzin God's worshipers."
Cualiacán is the capital city of the state of Sinaloa--a city with excellent services. It was founded in the confluence of the Humaya and Tamazula rivers, which converge in the middle of the city, forming the Culiacán River. The city is not a seaport, but it seems so because of its warm weather and the coastal temperament of its inhabitants. Culiacán offers diverse attractions for entertainment, leisure and commercial activities.
